RENEE R. ZIMMERMAN

LaGrange, IN- Renee R. Zimmerman, 71, of LaGrange, Indiana and formerly of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away Monday March 11, 2024, at her residence in LaGrange, Indiana.
She was born December 4, 1952, in Elkhart, Indiana to Robert O. & Regina C. (Schlicht) Zimmerman.
Renee graduated from Elkhart High School in 1971 and Elkhart Beauty School in 1975. On October 10, 2020, she married her best friend, Ron Wilson of LaGrange, IN. He survives along with her sisters Barbara Lyon and Leaann Fuller both of Elkhart, brothers Tom (Jan) Zimmerman of Middlebury, IN and Mark Zimmerman of Bristol, IN.
Nieces and nephews, Jeff (Theresa) Lyon of Carrollton, TX, Tracy (Paul) Gleissner of Elkhart, Kris Zimmerman of Ft. Myers, FL, Gary (Nikki) Zimmerman of Goshen, Terry Zimmerman of Middlebury, Angela (Karl) Ivans of Elkhart, Matt (Monica) Zimmerman of Bristol, IN, Joe (Angie) Fuller of or Waterloo, IA, Beth Fuller, Cairre Fuller both of Elkhart, Abbey (James) Gaspelin of Granger, IN. Great Nieces Camry Zimmerman and Elle Zimmerman of Goshen, whom she spent many of her Mondays off doing fun adventures, arts, and craft projects. 21 great nieces and nephews, 11 great, great nieces and nephews. Her nieces and nephews were the children she never had, and all were very special to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Robert Zimmerman, brother-in-law Dennis Lyon, niece Gina Zimmerman and a great nephew Theo Miller.
Renee had a 49-year career as a local hairdresser, her long-time clients were considered extended family. She was forced into retirement suddenly with her diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday March 21, 2024, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday March 22, 2024, at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 411 W. Vistula Street, Bristol IN 46507.
Fr. Bob Van Kempen will render the Mass. Friends may visit with the family for 1 hour prior to the Mass at the Church on Friday.
